The lowest rainfall during the last monsoon worsened the wretched condition of the farmers of Marathawada region of Maharashtra.

The shattered farmers at the Jalna region in particular, needed strong support to their morale and confidence so that they could step ahead for farm-preparations for this year.

A social service organization, PRAYAS SEVANKUR, Amravati organized a multi-purpose youth camp at Jalna from 24 to 28 April in the summer.
The lectures by the experts in the field motivated the farmers commence their preparations for the forth coming crop year.

Apart from educating the participants regarding how and why the drought conditions hit the human habitats, they also talked about the precautions to be taken. The organizers initiated de- silting process at the village ponds in Ghanewadi area.

Youth from village Sagroli and 35 SSM volunteers devotedly attended the camp and took part in all the activities.
